Wind farm tours organized by Long Man Holding AD and WP Nikola Kozlevo EOOD
Long Man Holding AD and WP Nikola Kozlevo EOOD had the opportunity to organize a visit to constructed and operational wind farms for residents and interested parties from the villages of Pet Mogili and Vekilski, Nikola Kozlevo municipality, where our companies are developing the wind farm project Pet Mogili (26 wind turbines).
The purpose of the region of Kavarna, where wind energy has been developing since 2008, was getting familiar with the wind farms constructed in the municipality and the lack of negative impact on the environment, agriculture, and the local population.
A large group of residents of the municipality of Nikola Kozlevo accepted our invitation and together we visited Kavarna area. All those who were able to come got to see the wind turbines up close, observed apiaries nearby, enjoyed the wide and fertile fields of Dobrudzha, made sure that the land under and around the turbines is being cultivated, that agriculture continues to be one of the main livelihoods of the Dobruja people and assessed the lack of noise coming from the wind generators.
During the tour, all guests visited our wind turbine service depot, which is located on the territory of Long Man wind farm. They had the opportunity to explore the site, ask many questions, and receive answers from experts in wind energy sphere.
For more than 15 years, the region of Kavarna has been a good example of how wind energy in Bulgaria can go hand in hand with agriculture and tourism, coexist, and be beneficial to the local population and businesses.
We believe that informing people is important and will help in forming a proper and realistic assessment of the impact of wind turbines.
This is the second consecutive tour to wind farms organized by Long Man for residents of the municipality of Nikola Kozlevo. In order to give more people, the opportunity to get a real idea of how wind farms and power plants work, we plan to organize further tours if there is a stated interest from the population and interested parties.
